WESTERS OR WATE4ME

Recommended Posts

I ordered a wait4me just last week. Much cheaper than westers.

And I just checked UPS...and it says it's been delivered. WooHoo...gotta go home. :driving:

Yep, the wait4me pcm was home waiting for me! :driving:

Haven't put it in yet...raining today. But it's gonna it tomorrow and my buddy will relearn the crank sensor on Friday.

I ordered a PCM with the tune. This way, my truck wasn't out of order while I waited. Plus I have the original PCM, so if something goes wrong, I have the stock PCM.

The one thing I did notice is that the PCM they sent me is not new. It must be a core return. But for the price, it can't be beat!

I'll post this weekend with my results. :sigh:

PWALL;

How is the tune doing on your new PCM. Maybe you like it so much, you have got out of the truck yet! New found power is great thing for motor heads......

Sorry, didn't get a chance to post lately. Was out of town for my brother's wedding.

Anyways, when I sent wait4me the info required, I made a mistake and said 89 octance, and not 87....argh. :D

So, I've been using 89octane since installing the new 'turned' pcm. What I have noticed is that it does better on the hills when driving on the highway. Doesn't drop down a gear as often.

But, for any performance increase....absolutely zero. :(

I emailed Jesse but the response was to try 89 and see. Well, been doing that.

So to wrap it all up....I'm curious to know what performance others have seen cuz I don't see any.

Howdy,

I have the W4Me 87 octane tune on my 04, Z71 with a 5.3. I ran a Dodge Hemi 2w drive yesterday. He could pull me about a half length from a dead start and hold that up til we quit at about 85 mph. If we did a 30 m.h. roll on, I could pull him about 3/4 of a length and hold it til shut off at 85. I feel certain that he would have beat me completely if I didnt have the tune. Have a goodun!!!!

I've had the wait4me tune for 6 months+ - WAY better throttle response, maybe one mpg better...how are you guys getting 4-6 mpg better?

Overall I'm happy with the money I spent. I did go light on the tuning since I was under factory warrenty....thinking of having Jesse do a little more tuning soon.
