Lowering 4X4

I know 4x4's are for lifting, but I just drive up and down the road. Want to lower just a little to look more like a SS. Going to put the wheels on and go from there. I have a WT and really didn't want to spend 40,000 on a true gas sucking all wheel drive SS. Thanks for any help.

ummm crank the torsion bars backwards and take some springs out of the leaf packs..that shout give you a madtyte stance

you may need some shorter shocks too. and BTW even though I am a die hard off roader, but iI would rather see a lowered 4x4 that retains its 4x4 function then see 20+ inch rims with rubber band mud tires on them

Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll put some Belltech shackles on the back and start there. I did some measuring against a true SS and there was 1 inch lower in front and 2 1/2 in the back. Haven't been able to dig up any SS wheels yet, but still looking. I'm going for a SS SWB standard cab clone.

Got the shakles on today. I'll try to post a pic tommorrow after it stops raining. It's been raining here for the past couple days. I'm glad for it though we are in stage 3 of drought here in SW Mo.
