Window regulators

I bought a 1969 C/10 as a project for my oldest son and I. The window regulators are stripped where the cranks install, but it came with new ones. We just need to put them in. My Haynes manual seems to say that we need to take out the vent windows to do the main windows. Does that sound right? We already have the inside panels, the door handles and window cranks off.

 

Any tips for a newb? Newb to Chevy anyway, my last two trucks were both mid 70's big block Fords. So far I really like this truck. It needs some love, but it's all fairly simple stuff.
