Engine Swap Question

Does anyone know If I can use the following crate motor in my 96' Sierra Z71?

I am looking to swap the current 5.0L with a 5.7L I have done a bit of investigation and found I should only need to swap the computer & Knock Sensors. all else should work from the 5.0L. Am I right about this ?

swapping a 96 5.0L Vortec with the 5.7L Vortec headed crate would be carry over part swap compatiable.

 

You'll need computer programming done for 5.7, otherwise all of your parts and harness' from the 5.0 will bolt up.

I agree, should be pretty much the same. You will need the Vin off a same year truck with a 5.7 to do the re-flash.
