Free mods (new)

hey guys whats going on im new to this forum. I have a 2002 gmc sierra i was wondering what kinda of free mods i can do for a little more power i have a drop in filter and flowmaster exhuast. whats a couple things i can try

One for better gas milage is to scrape the lead off your right foot. Other than that, nothing's free.

But the scraper that does that cost's $5.95 at your local parts store.. Guess your out of luck.

and the lead shoes cost a load too. Any of you guy's know about the Stock air box mod I've heard about 04 Silverado ?

yea i heard about that air box mod that was the type of stuff i was thinking and reall funny guys i kno nothing free just air box mods and stuff

ok i put a ram air filter on my truck by drilling a hole in the bottom of my air box and then running piping to my front bumper. that gave me a cheap 5 hp if that. it felt quicker and wasnt but like $10 at the most at lowes. but BE CAREFUL IN THE WATER!!!! Do NOT go mudding with that on it. street trucks only. and check ur filter more often

get rid of the flowmasters they rob HP, switch to a better flowing muffler or you could also do the air intake thing

So the flowmaster isn't all that great huh. Do you have any goo suggestions on mufflers or sytems, i wanna try and keep it single exit and cat-back. maybe some headers in the future for sound.

Magna Flow is really good, I'm not sure exactly what series flowmaster it was, but I saw dyno charts on 2 LS1 camaros, one with a magna flow and one with a flow master, both had cut outs. with the cut outs open they both had about the same HP, but with the cut outs closed the one with the Flowmaster lost like 10-15 HP. I really like the sound of Magna flow, but if you have the cash Borla also makes some good stuff
