aftermarket injection issues!!

my truck is a 95' GMC with the 7.4

 

here is what my truck has now:

 

Edelbrock Multi-port conversion

Edelbrock 110cc aluminum heads

Comp Cams 4x4 cam (can't remember wich one but it's little)

full roller rockers

electric fans and more i'm sure

 

now the problem:

 

i have had the truck tuned by an Edelbrock recommended shop and it was and is a lot better, but it was never what i though it should be and still isn't great. also seems to be getting worse. it's runs rich and has been fouling out plugs lately. now i am planning on trying to fix it the way it is, but i'm tired of putting money in to this set-up that i don't think is ever going to perform the way it should.

 

i am looking into a carb swap and was wondering if anyone would know what is needed or how difficult it would be to do. i think all i need is an intake, carb, HEI distributor, and a regulator.

 

any help is apriciated and if any one has any of these parts for sale let me know.

Dustin I would take it to someone who can tell you what's wrong with it now and go from there. You've got a lot of money tied up in a nice system and it would be a shame to toss it away for a system that you yourself and many others no longer understand.

 

If you're near me I can help. But I doubt that because there's no way you could drive that and get a sticker around here.

I'm in Indiana but thanks for the offer. i know a few good shops and i will be calling them soon. i would like to fix it the way it is but ws just researching options

You can buy Tunercat software and tune it yourself. It should be a pretty easy system to tune.
