New Tune!

So how does 304.3 RWHP and 329.9 RWTQ sound from a 5.3L motor?

Made 33+ more of each than the "mail order tune" that i was running!

Synergy Motorsports in Fremont CA. did the tune today, in about 5+ hrs. Shifts are good and no ping!

I dont think i can legaly squeeze any more from this motor without FI.

What do you think?

very impressive. i can't wait to get my boss' L33 dyno'd. we were able to get a 15.2 out of it with about a 30mph headwind. these L33's are a damn fine engine aren't they. good choice man. how much timing are you getting to run?

Yeah thanks guys!

The tune was $450 and even though i already paid for a HTPPIII and a mail order tune, I am happy i did.

I dont know how much timing he added but you can see the improvement from the other tune i had!

Yeah Crabhart, i figure a 20% loss from Flywheel so that should put me at roughly 365hp at the FW or a 55hp gain from stock with my bolt ons and tune!

Looks like some great results. Im in San Jose also and have been looking for someplace local to do a dyno run with my 6.0 1500 HD 4x4. I've been debating whether to drop coin on a predator handheld or go for some sort of custom tune.

I like the handheld because I can reflash if I go to the dealership and they update software.

I also like the custom tune on the dyno option because it is specifically tailored for my setup and mods can be changed realtime with results shown.

Does Synergy also change the shift points, adjust TM, and all the other assorted tweaks too?

Any info you can provide is appreciated.. Thanks. E

Synergy Motorsports

Yes, i would definately reccomend tossing the handheld out and go for the real tune. He tunes all parameters under load including partial throttle. Best $450 i ever spent!

Tell him I sent ya, maybe he'll give me a break on the tranny mods i'm doing next!:eek:

Give Rick a call, dont waste your money. I have already been there, done that and wasted $900 because i didn't know better.

Anyway, he "locks" the PCM so the dealer cannot over write it!

Live tune is much, much more potent!!! And spot on.

And yes you can squeeze ALOT more from that engine legally NA. It all depends on if you want to go inside your motor. A good cam would be the next best thing along with a Trailblazer converter. Youll be pretty pleased with that!! Itll pull a hell of alot harder through the RPM's as well as up top. The converter will make your launches feel awesome!

Shift kit and servos are the next performance mods, then the cam and rockers. Yeah i meant without opening up the motor! I still have only 5600 miles on it!

Unless your gonna get a non adjustable rocker. Dont mess with buying any. They wont do you much good. Also, if your thinking a 1.8 rocker, just get a bigger cam. It really will be more beneficial and trouble free for you down the road.
