Unlevel Truck

Recommended Posts

I am having a hard time getting my truck level side to side. It is a 1995 Yukon 4-door. It has a 6-inch pro Comp kit and the torsion bars are about factory settings, though not equal to each other (driver's side is turned up 4 turns more). When the front bars are adjusted to get the front level side to side, the driver's side rear is 1.5 inches low. When the driver's side torsion bar is raised to get the rear level side to side, the driver's front is visibly high compared to the passenger front, and the driver's side torsion bar bolt is almost two inches (bolt length) cranked in than the passenger side.

I would think that if the rear were even, the front could be a little uneven and would level towards the rear of the truck. However, with the front even, the difference increases towards the rear of the truck, measured along the frame rails.

I swapped leaf springs left to right with no change. The body mounts all look good and the difference is measured at the frame. I have owned the truck since new, so no accidents. It has not always been this way, just the last six months, with no change in the weight in or on the vehicle.

Any thoughts on where the difference is coming from, even if it is not fixable?

Thanks.
