New rear winch bumper

A buddy and I build a rear winch/receiver bumper over the Labor Day weekend. The winch bumper started off on the front of a 70’s Dodge then a 74 Jeep J20 and finally onto the front of a 89 Suburban then lastly after 10 hours rework labor it got mounted upside down and bolted on to the rear of my 78’ K10. Some nice military spec D rings were added also.

 

I decided to go with a rearward mounted winch bumper first as I usually find myself in predictiments where I need help getting myself out of a jamb more than I need a front mount winch to get my self further into a mess. A front mount winch and bumper will be next on the wish list along with gears and lockers, topper, bed rug, safari rack, etc. (not in any specific order)

 

All I need now is too order up that 12K Milemarker winch to tuck beind that fairlead.

wow that is reallly nice. really really nice. i like the winch in the back... so people know it's strictly for pulling other people out. haha. nice work!
