Hi everyone,

Wondering if anyone had pics of a 285/75r/16 tire on their NBS 1500 4x4?

Mine currently has 265/75r/16 and I am looking to put a little bigger tire on. Would love to see a pic with 285's on before I go ahead and buy the new tires.

Thanking everyone in advance. :nopity:

The 1st pic is the 285 ATs (winter tires now) and the second pic is the 255 MTs

excuse my ignorance on these metric tire sizes but are the 255/85/16 the same size as the 285/75/16?

did you find any difference in ride quality, handling, milage ets between the two sizes?

Thanks very much. :nopity:

As far as the 255 vs 285 differences the main one is the 285s are appx 1 inch wider than the 255s. The 255s are slightly (33.1 vs 32.8) taller. I like the 255s since they arent as wide because I have less debris flying and hitting the rear end (even with mudlfaps). As far as handling and everything they are different because one is an AT and one is an MT. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. What I dont like about the MT is how it handles on ice. One winter comes my ATs are going back on.

Oh yea and the 255s were about $30-40 cheaper a tire :nopity:

Sure, but I'm at work right now...It'll be a while.

Keep in mind that I had some rubbing issues because of the offset of the aftermarket wheels, even with the torsion bars cranked a bit. I had to trim an inch or so off of the airdam. The same tires on stock rims never rubbed a bit.

The first and second are from the day I got the wheels and tires. The third pic is with the same size/brand/model of tire, but with stock rims.

Looks great................what kind of rims are those aftermarket ones? Are they steel/chrome or polished aluminum?

Did you find any change in your milage with the 285's?

Sorry for the questions........but I certainly appreciate it........ :driving:

I don't have a clue what they're made of...They were less than $400.

I don't know about change in mileage, as I put 285 on there within a week or two of buying it.

As for the questions...That's why we're here man. :driving:
