Need Advice About Lowering

Hey i need some advice on lowering my 99 2WD Tahoe. I would like for the rear end to sit level with the front end. My friend that had air bags on his truck said to just buy some 2IN drop shackles and it would make it level. Is this true, or will it look funny. I dont want to drastically lower it to much, but i would love to do a 2IN drop in the front and a 4IN Or 3IN drop in the back....but ive never seen that either. Any way i do it i want the truck to be level and sit kind of like a sport truck. I have no idea what to buy to get it to sit like that. Eventually i want to put 20" rims on it so i dont want to lower it too much for that. Please help, if anyone has pics of their tahoes lowered and any advice let me know.

You can buy 2" drop shackle kits for less than $40 at your local auto-parts store. Not hard to put on either.

Also, most 2'' drop shackles have additional holes so you can drop one OR two inches. Thy one, if that's not the look you wanted, trry the other.

Since its a 2WD...I'd do a 2/4 drop. That would look sick with 20's. Most company's make a complete kit...DJM, Belltech, Mcgaughy's...etc.

Just my opinion, but I'd go with the 2" rear shackle kit!!! And you're only out about $35.00
