I am looking for some shocks for my 99 Silverado 2500 ex. cab. I plan on adjusting the torsion bars and adding timbrens also since I will be using an older 7.5 ft Fisher plow which is a little heavier than others this size. I want to go with a good shock for driveability and minimizing sag with the plow in addition to the other mods.

I have been looking into Monroe Reflex, Rancho RS500, and Monroe also makes a Load Leveler shock that sounds interesting. I don't want any megadollar adjustable computerized shocks, just the best quality bolt-on I can find. Also, Will I need to go with a different size if I adjust the torsion bars or get different keys for a 1-2 inch front lift.

I have the rancho rs9000X shocks on my truck thats cranked 1.5". I love the shocks and it is so nice being able to adjust. They are not that bad price wise either. Sams Off Road on the internet normally has the best prices. I also have the in-cab controller, and I don't think it's worth the money. I am constantly dealing with leaks. Right now the connectors need to be oiled so the o-rings expand a bit. When driving down the beach with the family, I keep it soft and it has a "floating" feeling like a caddy. I keep mine on 7 front, 5 rear because I prefer them a bit stiffer. When I have a load or am towing, I normally go 7/7 or so depending on the weight. On the sand, I go up to 9/9 because I air down to 12psi in the tires. My buddy has them and keeps them on 5/5 and thats it.
