It wasn't easy. The Mustang GT she wanted was $28k with no deal and crappy trade in $1,500.00 trade in on her 2000 Mustang (we still have it and owe on it). It was burning me up inside that we could not negtotiate on the price, so she would be upside down in even 5 years. The Ford dealers weren't budging.

When GM can out with the new program of GMS Pricing+$3k or 2.9% this truck sold for $22k and the sticker was $31k w/5.71% interest because it was cheaper to keep the $3,000.00. I was planning to trade in my truck on a new rig, but instead she scooped up this black one.

Here are some Highlights.

Dark Charcoal Interior

Premium Stereo (6-Speakers)

Towing Package

Transmission Cooler (Yippee)

Fog Lights

Tow Hooks

3.23 Gears (I pushed her to this over the 3.73 model since she drives a long way to work)

G80 Locking Differential

Skid Plates

Vortec 5300 (Iron Block w/295HP and 335 lbft torque)

4L60-E Auto Tranny

LS Model (Power Locks, Windows, Mirrors)

17" Wheels (She wants 20" Chrome)

40/20/40 Split Bench Power Seats

All the other standard stuff you get in a crew cab

I am proud that she decided not to GIVE money away to Ford right now. I understand the Mustang GT is a hot new car, but she decided against it, but she would only accept a truck like this. The way I see it, we got WAY MORE Bang for the Buck. She may go may go back to a Mustang GT in 3-4 Years, but she shouldn't be as Upside down as she would have been.
