Needing help with lifts?

Recommended Posts

I am new to this and I need some help. I own a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado Z71. It is push button four wheel drive, ext. cab also. I have the tb's up all the way with 16 by 10 polished aluminum pacer bullit holes on 285/75/16 BFG AT's.

I want to do some good lift to it be out of the ordinary in town. Does this sound ok?

I thought about a 6 inch. Skyjacker suspension lift with maybe a 3 inch body lift. As far as tires and rims I thought I would go to 20 by 10 helo maxx6 rims on 325/60/20 Nitto terra grapplers.

Any suggestions. :ughdance: And do I need to chage my gear ratio cause even since I put this bigger tires I got now, I know it weakened my truck some.

don't put 20s on a lifted 4x4 thats just faggoty street queen whiggerness, at biggest I would say get some 17s but if you want it to look good go with the smallest rim/largest tire combo you can get. 6" suspension and 3 inch body should give you clearance for at least 38s maybe 40s with a little trimming and Tbar adjustment

I don't know how much more clearance a NBS Z has than the old ones like mine, but with my 6'' susp., 3'' body, 2'' add-a-leaf and tb's cranked i rubbed the heck out of some 39's...i wouldn't suggest 40s...38's.
