Shock extension/spacer

I have seen this topic discussed but havent been able to find any specifics. Such as what people have used. I am looking at cranking up my t-bars. I would like to use a bushing, spacer, or shim to get the extra inch or so from my shocks until they need to be replaced. I have also considered green keys and possibly blocks and a body lift but would like to wait until later to do anything like that. Im putting on hummer take off wheels and tires next weekend so Im gonna have to make some adjustments.

If anyone has done this did you use washers? A kit or bushing from auto parts store etc? Any specific information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The only thing I've seen made for that is the part that Cognito Motor Sports sells as part as their leveling kit. It replaces the bottom mount for the shock, causing your suspension to bottom out before your shock does.

Some guys who get the kit don't use them because they already have longer shocks. You may be able to find someone who wants to sell them, or see if cognito will sell them separately.

I made a 1" spacer to raise my lower shock mount. You have to make sure to get the proper strength longer metric bolts. I've got 37K on this setup with no problems. Don't go over 1" and the lower bolt needs to be reversed so it will clear. Check my pics.

Well if anyone bought the cognito kit and isnt using these I want them. send me a pm. Im going to try to contact them and see if they possibly sell them. Thanks for the info.
