I bought a set of stock wheels and tires off a hummer. I plan on putting them on my stock 04 2500HD. I have seen this topic a few times but never saw much of an answer. What all do I need to do to make sure they fit and I still have a good ride.

I know I can crank up the torsion bars pretty easily. If I changed to the Green Keys can I just extend my shock mounts with a spacer instead of buying new shocks?

I only have 7k miles on this truck so I dont want to have to put new shocks on yet. If I need to go with new shocks which ones? How much?

Do I need to go ahead and do a lift or will the torsion bars and keys be enough? I am considering a 3" body lift but would rather wait till later to do one. If I need to do one what brand? How much?

Thanks for any help.

You don't need the 3in body lift for this. The green keys will be enough to clear them with some minor trimming of the plastic around/inside the front fender wells. That is what I remember from seeing a previous post on this topic.
