yup, the glass fell out of my driver's side mirror but i caught it before it shattered on the road. Similar thing happened to my passenger side mirror when i was washing and i used an exterior Liquid Nails adhesive to put it back on. This time i couldn't find the exterior stuff so i went to Napa to see what they had.

I picked up the 2 part clear epoxy adhesive that comes in paired syringes and glued the glass back on. Has anyone else had this happen, because it'd be great to know what else is good to use~

Beleive it or not, Silicone has always worked for me in applications like that. The trick is to make sure that both mounting surfaces are CLEAN, and to fasten the mirror glass securely so that there is no movement until it completely cures.

i got a tube of rtv silicone adhesive/sealant from carter lumber.... cleaned up the surfaces with rubbing alcohol and wadded up a t-shirt and tied it infront of the mirror to hold it there while it cures~ i think i'm in the clear....

Why are there so many specialty types of "Liquid Nails"!!!! I got so wrapped up in choosing the closest type to my need that I forgot about regular silicone~ :D

I don't know why I didn't go to regular silicone first this time before messing around with epoxy.... live and learn i guess~
