Important GM Recall Notification

Recommended Posts

Anybody else get a RECALL email like this from MYGMLink.com? Is it really new or an old recall that is now closed? I've seen nothing about it anywhere.

First time I've heard of that, I've got a 4l80e tranny in my HD. I sure hope nothing is wrong with it, I mean I've got another 40k on my warranty left. So I hope it don't show its ugly face after the warranty is up....Mike

That's funny because my transmission was replaced on the 11th of April because it lost lubrication and burnt the planetary gear and some clutch.

It never did feel quite right and I'm not so sure the new one is exactly where it should be but it's still GM's problem for the next 88,000 miles due to a 10 year/100,000 power train warranty I have on the truck.

I'll relax now...my dealer called and said my truck already had this recall done to it. Some plug thing removed or changed. He told me to expect a seat belt recall notice soon for the center rear seat.

Why GM Link would send out an email like this is a little maddening :P
