Had those 2500HD fender gaps fixed

Recommended Posts

Finally got those fender gaps fixed. Looks very nice now, like it came from the factory (as it does for the Denali). Had the dealer do it when I had it in for service:

1 88979806 SHIELD 8.153 @ $7.83

2 24501057 FASTENER 1.840 @ $8.57/EA

2 21110201 RETAINER 1.269 @ $6.06/EA

Parts: $37.09

Labor: $38.00 (probably took 5 minutes to install)

For those of you who do not know what I am talking about and own a recent vintage 2500HD, look into the fender well from the drivers side, towards the front. There is a gap between the body and the fender well through which sand and dirt fly forward and land on your front bumper. Must have been a bean counter decision to not install it right at the factory.
