2006 TopKick/Kodiak?

Recommended Posts

Wow, It's been a while since I've been on here! Promise I won't do it again! And gotta say...am I happy to see there's finally a separate forum for these!

As far as '06's go, I haven't heard of many changes outside of some to the Family II's.....and those are:

**NEW 605# TORQUE RATING FOR 6.6 DURAMAX, COMPATIBLE WITH ALLISON TRANSMISSIONS

**DIFFERENT EXHAUST BRAKE, USING THE TURBOCHARGER

**EXHAUST BRAKE AND AIR SEATS ON 4X4 5500 CHASSIS

**LEFT SIDE 35-GALLON UNDER CAB STEP TANK FOR 4X4 5500 CHASSIS

GM Fleet only has information on the 2006 W/N series COE's, but even that's interesting.....it seems there's no longer any gasoline NPR/W3500 and W4500. It's all diesel now. I guess GM wants to make some room in Janesville for 900......

TTY soon. I swear this time I won't dissapear as easily...

Maybe the W series gassers will go on hiatus, like the T series did before they moved them to Flint. I can't imagine G.M. dropping the gas powered W's and Isuzu NPR's. They sell a ton of those things around here.

 I'm usually on the 2500/3500HD forum, as that is what I have, BUT, I have a friend that has the need to tow around 20-22K. He has an Anderson 30' Flatbed trailer that weighs 8K and he loads it with HEAVY alfalfa hay that runs his total up to at least 20K. I'm not all that famliar with the heavier duty Chevs, but he is a Chevy man, so he'll listen to my recommendations! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like you two would want to take a look at a C6500.

And while GM-Trucks.com has more detailed information about the entire range of trucks, they don't have the new items for the Medium Duties. But don't fear, they're on my blog:

I'm adding the W-Series info as we speak. T & C series info has already been posted.
