305/70r16 on 16x10 w/ green keys?

Recommended Posts

I understand anything is possible with enough money or a big enough chop saw, but has anyone tried 305/70r16 on 16x10's with only green keys? I have read the info on 285's but am thinking about going one step more.

I have 305/70/16's on 9 1/2" rims and only turned up my factory torsion bars and keys.

I have a 2004.5 2500 HD Crew long Bed with the Duramax.

I had to do some slight trimming on the lower corner of the valence and inner splash shields, but other than that, 15,000 miles and no problems so far.

Thanks for the info! Any chance you have some pics? Also, do you know the back-spacing on your rims? Thanks

i run with awesome success H2 take offs-- 315-70-17 BFGs w/ the Hummer alloy wheel which, BTW, is made by GFM no less! The backspacing is unbelievable and the tires don't even stick out past the fender, so the goo and mud stays off the paint. i just cranked the t-bars w/ no issues whatsoever.

pix direct upon request.
