gas to diesel

new heads?

just guessing, but would think; different fuel pump maybe, new computer thing, would think new exhust system and intake, cooling system.

The best way to do this would be to have a donor truck for the parts because I would swap fuel system, control harnesses, dual battery boxes, possibly radiator and you might need to swap Tbars or springs to as 6.5 weighs more than 454. You also want the tranny if it is a automatic as it has a different torque converter and shift point calibration too. You will have to convert brakes over to from vacum power to hydro boost because their is no vacum on a diesel and you will need a engine driven vacum pump you heater/AC contoling. (See why I mention a donor truck) Still want to go thru with it? If so good luck!

That's a big bite to chew.  Interest rates are low, the rebates are killer, bite the bullet and get factory installed Duramax.

Just my $0.02

SS

Rebates and interest rates or not 40K plus for a truck is chunk of change. (with Dmax an approx 6 grand option)

Yes, that's a chunk of change. But at least you know everything works and has a warranty.

Piece of mind....Priceless

Warranty just means that it s supposed to work, not that it will (and that they may try to fix it or actuall "fix" it ) The newer they are, the more there seems to be to go wrong with them sometimes.
