After Waiting for Months...New Truck!!!

Recommended Posts

Just picked her up yesterday and drove her back home last night! :D

I got a fantastic deal at John McClaren Chevrolet in McGregor, TX that I could not pass up. It only has 20K miles on it and is immaculate inside and out. The only real towing I will be doing will be a 19' boat on the weekends over the summers so I ended up passing on the diesel though I was hell bent on getting one. The real kicker was the low mileage on this one for what I wanted to spend.

I'm putting that extra $$$ towards goodies! I had the dealer put in a Rhino Liner and we ordered a front end replacement bumper from RanchHand with a receiver hitch built in and a matching rear bumper. Those should be in next week. Then maybe a receiver mounted Warn for front or rear. I have yet to go try out the 4x4 - maybe this weekend!

My trade in was a regular cab short bed Dodge that was full to the gills with my tools and equipment. Well, it was getting late and I had a new bedliner that had yet to be fully cured so I couldn't load anything on top of it. So, I loaded up ALL my equipment and crossbox in the cargo basket and on the rear seat folded down. THE BED WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY AND I HAD THE WHOLE FRONT SEAT TO MYSELF - I LOVE IT!!!!! I can't believe the room in this thing!

:D:D:D

71GMC_3/4T - It has the LS package - I'm just excited to have a truck with power windows and locks!

Yep down here near the Texas coast the grass often makes it through the "winter" pretty well. We did have our first white Christmas this year though - first real snow in half a century!
