Used truck, what have I got?

Recommended Posts

Little help needed. I've bought in the last month a 1999 Sierra Z71 Xcab. It currently has 295/70/R16's on it. It looks pretty level front to back. I would like to crank up the TB's, but don't know if it has already been done. I'd like to get some 305's under there on the stock rims, and would really like it to be 1-3 inches taller, but the wife is already upset about the truck (much less shelling out another $2K for a lift). Thanks for any insight.

the only way to see if you can crank up the t-bars is get under it and look. If there is threads left on the bolt you can still crank. As for the 305's it you have 295"s the 305's should fit. The 305 is 10mm wider than your current tire and about .7mm taller. A body lift is the cheapest. $300 ish some like em some don't. Good luck with the wife.
