Banks

Ok I got an A pillar pod and a boost kit for christmas from my wife, I was like a kid in candy factory. I opened the kit and it had a transmission temp gauge in the boost kit (looks like they stuffed the wrong gauge in the bag of stuff). So my wife calls them up the next day and gets them to send out a Return label and send me a new kit. waited 3 days for the label sent it back a week later the new kit shows yesterday....

Same d**n thing, Boost kit label on the outside of the package, rip it open and Trans temp gauge.

Waiting on the return label, this time the lady said she would personally go out and make sure the kit has a boost gauge in it...ARghhhhhhhhhhhh

I asked if I could get a pyro kit sent for my troubles, she was like I don't think so, so I said how about 50% off..NOPE

Not too impressed with Banks at the moment.....I am sure it will pass :loser:

I would of went with Rolling Big Power. I recently had it added to my truck along with my lift and i love it. I have the Juice Attitude Electronic Module which is the LCD monitor and it gives me everything from Rpm's to speedometer to Boost to engine temp, trans slip, etc...i can keep on going and going...its a great set up. I strongly recommend Rolling Big Power, they are located in Corona, CA. The whole set up ran me about 1900 installed, that includes the LCD, edge attitude module, stanless steel catback exahust with a 5.5 tip.

At the time I was looking into Banks Power but never got convinced to go with them. Everyone told me to stick to RBP which its just great.

Funniest thing it was waiting for me on the porch when I got home.

It included a 25 discount on my next purchase....funny!

I went with banks because I have never had a problem with there products and always been completly satisfied. I love the wastegate and turbo set up from banks my father n law is running in his DMAX, he has one of those little boxes on his dash that tells him all kinds of stuff, looks tacky sitting there I think?

I wanted to go with something that looked clean and pretty much stock.....

The install of the Boost gauge was simple and it looks great, I just need to figure out how to mount a speaker into the middle hole for my exernal CB speaker....?

just my .02

Totally a preference thing......

Got me on the power but his truck will stomp mine to the ground, he has a lift and 35's for tires. but I think it helps he has a dual programer or something like that....man I wish I worked on the slope making 62 dollars an hour.......

Related question, well sorta. I'm real close to splurging on a supercharger for my 8.1. Is it useful or recommended to monitor boost or other stuff after supercharging it? I sure hope it is, simply for the fact that the guages on the windshield just look cool as all get out IMHO.
