Tire ?

Recommended Posts

Anyone have any experience with BigO's "Bigfoot AT" or Toyo's AT? About $100 cheaper than the BFGoodrich AT and carry a better warranty. Going on a 2500HD 4x4 Crew Cab. Don't go offroading other than some occasional mild mud when I am hunting and do a trip to the snow once a year. Tow a 5K lb. boat/trailer combo in the summer months.

I had a set of Bigfoot ATs on my '92 Z-71 half ton. I liked them. They were the ones with the two deep grooves. I'd had Bigfoot ATs that didn't have the groove and they sucked on water and slush. I had really good luck in snow with both types of tires. They wore fair, with a little uneven wearing on the fronts ("ramping" of the lugs(?)). That was probably because I wasn't too prompt about rotating them...

BigO's seem to be a pretty good tire. I used to give them all my tire service, but the manager quit at the store I used to go to and the new manager was a real jerk, so I bought some peerless tyres last time. Bad move, they get a cold flat spot real bad and don't seem to be wearing all that well. That might be from the 402BB in my GMC though, heheh.

I have the Big-O Bigfoot AT's (265's Load Range E) and am really happy with them. They've done better than my BFG AT's did in the rain and snow, and feel very solid during highway driving. I only have about 7K miles on them, but if they last long, I would definitely buy them again.
