Vortec 5.3 TBI?

Hello all,

 

I just stumbled upon this forum and figured I would sign up.

 

Anyway...just over a week ago, I bought myself a 2004 GMC Sierra 1500

Extended Cab Z-71 with the Vortec 5.3 in it. My question is wheather or

not this Vortec 5.3 has a Throttle Body on it? My old S-10 Vortec 4.3 did.

 

I would like to know so when I go to start dressing up the engine, I know what

to look for. I'm not to up on engine specs and what not, so any help would

be greatly appreciated.

The 5.3 is multiport fuel injection...it has a throttle body at the front of the intake to let air in, but is not throttle body injected.
