Make up my Mind Already - The Sequel

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone.. thanks for all the insight.

I finally said, just go buy a dang truck already and made a decent deal.

I bought a 2005 Silverado LT 2500 Duramax. It is loaded to the gills. Sunroof, leather, everything. Hey if you are going to spend.. do it up right.

Anyway, that is where my story goes. Once I take possession I will see if I can post a pic somehow. Don't really have any web space to post and link to... but I will try.

I am now a happy man.

All the best :D

Darren

Sounds like we got close to the same truck.

Mines an LT

Silver Birch

Charcoal

4X4

all the towing & camper stuff

I'm having a harder and harder time waiting for it though....wish they'd of had one readily available, but I figured if I was gonna pay that kind of money for a truck, it would be exactly what I wanted even if I had to wait. I'll put 265's on it when I wear the originals out (my dealer's service mngr. is okay with 265's)....then when warranty is over, I'll consider the 225/70/19.5 and get a real truck tire....plenty of time to make up my mind on that though....that's a bundle for wheels & tires. One nice thing is that I can then mount studs on the original rims for winter.....(am I rationalizing?)

Oh....by-the-way.....today is Monday

Looks like you bought where I did. Competition in Stony. Found them to be probably the most helpfull dealer when I did my purchase in October 2003. At the time Cy(person i dealt with) took his time and explained all the options and made sure we made the right choice for us. Seemed to offer the best bang for the buck too in the Edmonton area. Looks like a great truck...oh how I wanted a diesel when I bought but just dont put the KM's on the justify the difference in price.

Enjoy the new truck! Maybe Ill see you around town

Yup.. I did buy at Competition. As you say, they are the dealer in the area who will work to sell. I checked around and everyone else was $4000 - $5000 more even at their best price. I don't put on that many miles, but I figured a vehicle is never a money making venture, so you may as well go for it. I love the diesel. I giggle in delight everytime I drive it.
