green keys

Recommended Posts

New member and had a question on the torsion bar keys. I have read about leveling my 2500hd and can't decide from all the info. I have received what will work. I have heard about putting 1500 4x4 keys on the torsion bars to level the front end on a 2500hd (2002) will this work? Or do I put the Ford green keys or buy a set made with different indexing? I have a stock set of 1500 4x4 keys handy and don't know if they will work. HELP!! I'M LOST ON THIS ONE.

the ford keys are different than the green keys.

use the ford keys on the 1/2 tons

use the green keys on the 3/4 tons

you can level your truck with the stock ones.

I raised mine 2" with the stock ones.

Just make sure you get your truck aligned after you do it.

BB is right....while every truck is a little different, you may be able to achieve leveling with your stock keys.

I put the green keys (from a chevy 1500) in my HD simply because I had them from a truck i had just put ford keys in. After getting my tires/rims/alignment done, the torsion adjusting bolts were backed d**n near all the way out. I think I could've gotten the same effect from the stock keys.
