Convert from TP2 to TQ3

I ordered my truck with the second battery option. I thought I was getting TQ3 (non-isolated second battery), When the truck showed up it had option TP2 (isolated battery). I didn't catch the mistake in the paperwork so I can't blame the saleman.

How do I convert my second isolated battery into a dual battery non-isolated setup?

Thanks, DEWFPO

Maybe I'm missing something but it seems you just need to hook the 2 batterys positive cables together. The negitives are already both hooked to ground. I know you can by a sidepost adapter that allows you to hook up 2 cables to one post. Just make a cable to connect them.

I know if you need to jump off the isolated one you just need one jumper cable between the 2.

That makes sense, I guess I just bypass the isolator and hook the two positives together.

It may be safer to buy (or have made)and have one battery cable from the auxillary battery instead of hooking up the two positive cables. I believe the other half of the cable goes from the isolator to the starter. Just make one cable from the starter to the auxillary battery and you will eliminate one more connection and a possible fire hazard plus you will have double the battery capacity to start your truck :seeya:
