stupid 700r4s

ive got an 89 chev wit a 700r4 i jus got it rebuilt and it would go into Od i was pissed but ok so i drove it about 10,000km and now it dont shift out of first unless i go under the hood and pull on the kickdown a few times it pulls easy and ita adjusted at the carb rite does anybody have any ideas about wats hapening

I think I just smoked my 700r4 too. I was on the freeway and od would not engage. It was like it was inbetween shifts, rpm's would climb, and no power to the wheels. I just turboed my 6.2 so I wasn't too surprised but d**n!

 

I immediately got off te freeway and guess what, it wouldn't get out of first.

 

Just dropped it off at the shop today. By the way, J&S diesel in vegas is a pretty stand up shop. Sometimes they forget to call, but I always get it back better than I brought it in.

 

If you are going to replace the tranny who are you going to go with. I've looked at Art Carr, Level Ten, and TCI for a high performance 700r4. Anyone have any experiences one way or another?
