All Arizona Chevy owners read this!

My wife and I recently bought a brand new 04 2500HD CCSB from Lou Grubb Chevrolet, located at 91st and Bell. It is highly recommended that you neither purchase nor take your vehicle here for any type of servicing. The truck, a very nice looking black, went in the shop at about 700 miles for a loud noise coming from the transfer case. As per the warrenty, we assumed that taking the truck to them would be no problem. This may seem like an intelligent sort of thought, but as we were greeted by the service manager, it became clear that their service was lacking that certain knowledge we had hoped for. We were first insulted by the comment that nothing was wrong with the loud clunk from under the truck! If that was bad enough, it took them an entire week to fix the problem. One might think that we came out on top, but the scratches found in the bed of our truck revealed a dfferent story. My wife took the truck back to complain and was very insulted. They assumed that since her anatomy differed from that of men, that she knew nothing about vehicles. I pity the poor man that had the nerve to say these things. They attempted to "buff" the scratches out, but it is hard to re-apply paint with a buffer. After some words, she convinced them the only suitable fix was a spray in bed liner. Needless to say, we got our way. We later took it back for a speedometer problem, and received our vehicle back in a timely manner. But with a shocked look, my wife once again found scratches all over the truck. They once again denied their incompetence. The moral of the story is, if you value your chevy, whether it be new or old, stay away from Lou Grubb Chevrolet! :ughdance:

That sucks man. My uncle had a similar problem with a dealer in Texas. While his D-Max was being fixed, they used his truck for work. One day he thought he say them towing and hauling hay with his truck. The next day he went to look at the truck and it had grass all over the inside. The interior also smelled like smoke. It is sad that there are so many bad dealers who rip off their customers on a daily basis.

When its feasable, take the truck to your dealership on an empty tank, and make it a point to log your mileage on the odometer (not the trip odometer). I'm not a sue happy person, but I would definately be taking the dealership to court over that, also, I would be making a large complaint to GM over that.

Guess it all depends on the dealership. I ordered my truck, and it came in a month early, while I was out of town for my summer vacation. I wasn't able to go pick up the truck for a month. While they were waiting for me to get it, many customers were interested in buy my truck, hard to find manuals anymore. The salesmen called me up and asked if he could use my truck on test drives, I of course said no. When I went to pick up the truck he had the truck parked in an empty private garage on the lot next to the owners 69 Camaro SS. The odometer was at 12 or 15 miles. The salesman said he put the truck back there to keep this one guy away that had offered money over MSRP for the truck. All I can say is this is the only dealership I will do business with here in CO. The dealership is Davidson Chevrolet in Loveland, CO; if you live in the Denver area this place is definately worth the drive to buy a car/truck. Never had anything but good service form them, even had to go find a salesman the first trip there to look for a truck, stood around for atleast 15 minutes out at the trucks and no one ran over to "help me."

5 mins. ago, I just got a call from the dealer that my long awaited 2005 2500HD CC, SD, 8.1 has finally come in. They said it arrived in Denver 4 days ago and took that long to go 150 miles.

They called to say it arrived with a dent/ding that they are trying to fix. I haven't even seen the truck yet ! *()%&(^$

The first two dents/dings put in my previous truck were both by the dealership at there service dept. (differentt dealer than above).

Don't they know it's always better for the owner to put the first dent into a vehicle.

This is funny, my truck sat for a few days while I was out of town before I could take delivery. They parked it in the back, not even on the lot and said they had a few people that wanted to buy it! It was a 03 1500 4x4 LS loaded with a 5 speed!!

HA HA HA Moron dealers don't know that people still actually want a manual transmission. Few weeks after I took home my special order they ordered an identical truck except it was base not LS and it sold within days!

I just went back to that dealer today to get some of the new tailgate cables, noticed they had a number of regular cab 1500's...no five speeds but at least they are starting to wise up that not everyone wants a freakin' ext cab.. :ughdance:

This is one reason I lock the bed of my truck. The cover too.

I had one dealer blow the fuse on my sub amp... Ok I drive around with my music cranked and had not managed to blow the fuse by they did.. They tried to say they didn't use the radio at all. Well guess what they had because the face was flipped around backwards when I droped it off and when I got it back it was flip around and tunned into a station I would never listen to.

I had the idiots at the dealership back into a hill and knock off my backup lights. Had them sell my two brand new bumbers that were special ordered in for me.. Needless to say when my brother need a new Yukon Denial it was not bought from Coast GMC in portsmouth NH. I am not the only to have problems with this bunch of idiots..
