PCMforLess Nailed It!

Wahoo! Just got back from PA where I met up with Bryan Herter from PCMforLess. Super nice guy, awesome customer service. Well, I've been battling false KR ever since my cam and spring swap (got a 99, it's a common problem), and it's been totally killing my performance and defeating the purpose of the cam. Bryan hooked me up with a tuned 02 PCM and KR is gone! This thing is a torque monster now! The WOT performance is outstanding! And it shifts absolutely perfect, nice positive shift, no lag, no power loss.

 

I was just cruising along at about 25mph when I nailed it...it broke the tires loose and kept em loose. I finally know my cam's potential. Perfect for a daily driver in my opinion. :D

 

Next step is to run a wire from the alternator to the PCM to fix the flashing battery light, then it's a done deal. (the 02 PCM gets a voltage signal from the alternator that the 99-00 does not)

 

I gotta thank some guys who frequent ls1tech.com...Creederado and 99silver5.3. These guys have been battling the KR issues for quite some time, and helped put me in the right direction as far as choosing to swap my 99 PCM with an 02. Thanks to Nelson for working with Creed to fix the blinking battery light issue and for getting Creederado's truck fine tuned. :D

 

And of course, Thank you Bryan Herter and PCMforLess for taking the time to make my truck haul arse! :lol:

Good dam deal dude. Told ya the new PCM would fix ya up!! Im working on the battery ligth fix myself. Im excited about that.
