Edelbrock IAS shocks

Recommended Posts

Is anyone else having problems with these? I have replaced one already (rt. front) I noticed yesterday the the other side has blown. My truck is totally street driven. suspension is stock and my t-bars are no where near the max. I really like the ride these give however, replacing a shock every two months is crazy. Any ideas would be great.

No suggestions here. I had them on my 2000 F-250LD and had the same problem. They really helped the ride quality of the truck but were constantly requiring replacement.

I was going to put them on my 2500HD but I guess it's still a problem.

I have been running them on my truck for over 30,000 miles now and have had no problems. What do you mean by blown? Are the seals leaking? I will have to check mine and see if they are leaking! They ride seems to be fine as far as I can tell. Will have to look into this further... :D

Leaking would be an understatement! It is like the seals totally failed both of them puked oil all over the ground and all down the side of the truck. And let me tell you that they manage to cram alot of oil in one of those little suckers :D
