installing Torsion Keys, longer front shocks

Recommended Posts

I bought a set of ORU indexed torsion keys for my 2500HD 4WD. Im not 100%sure how to install them. I did a set in '97 and cant remember the procedure. I know I will need an alignment afterwards, but Id like to install them.

Way back in '97, I installed a lift kit on my K1500 with some help from a friend that worked in aftermarket truck suspension biz. I know we removed the keys during the process. I know they are pre-loaded by the adjuster bolt. I dont remember it being as easy as unloading the bolt and the keys pop out.

Anyone out there that has done this recently? any pointers would be appreciated.

Also, Ive been researching what the original application is for the 2" longer shocks for the front. Ive almost got it figured out which shock to use in this application. I'll post here once I know for sure.
