PLEASE HELP - NEED HELP WITH VALVE JOB 1996 SIERRA

I have a 1996 GMC Sierra 4x4. Spent years saving for it and have bought it from my Dad when I turned 16. Had it for 3 months and found out it needs a valve job. My relatives are knowledgeable with trucks but no one has done a valve job on a late model GMC. I can't get the headers off! Any suggestions?! Please help...not being able to drive is driving me crazy.
