285's 16X10's and no lift?

I've got a 2001 Chevy Z-71. I thought I liked the way my truck looked with 285 tires on factory wheels (with no problems) but today I tried out a set of 16X10 Eagle 58' wheels (WITHOUT a lift) and it blew my mind. I fell in love with it and really want to get them but there was much rubbing in the back and some in the front. I understand that I'll have to trim a good deal of plastic off. Has anyone tried this without a lift? Is there anything behind the plastic the wheel could be rubbing on even if I cranked my torsion bars a bit?

Please help out, I reeeally want to get those d**n wheels on!
