2" drop shackles

Has anyone installed 2" drop shackles on a '02 Silverado 1500 4wd stepside with a factory trailer hitch? I read all the treads on intallation, but I looked under my truck, and it looks like 1) the trailer hitch is blocking the lower bolt, and 2) the truck bed is preventing me from jacking up the diff. to clear the frame to remove the top bolt. Thanks in advance...

you can do it but get your impact wrench out remove the factory hitch ,,,install the new ones then reinstall the hitch

If you don't want to remove the hitch, cut the head of the bolts off after loosening and knock them through to the outside. You will have to get new bolts and install them the opposite way, so changing them in the future will be easier (if required).

stepside is the easiest.

 

there are only a few bolts holding the bed on, just undo thouse and jack your bed up then you can do whatever you want.
