Hey Everybody,

I have a 99 Silverado Z71 with the torsion bars cranked up and I am currently running 305/70/R16 Goodyear Wramgler AT/S. My questions is what size tire should I run after I install some new torsion bar keys and blocks in the rear? Also, what kind of shocks should I run?

What I was saying is that the size of a tire you can run has alot to do with the size and Backspacing of the wheels. You can usually tuck larger tires on stock wheels with less height.

But when you go to an aftermarket wheel that is wider or has less backspacing the tires will start to rub etc..

might find this helpful.  http://www.whnet.com/4x4/offroadtires.html

say hulk, you didn't have any rubbing with the 305s did you?  I think I'm going to go test fit/hopefully buy them.  I live in a tight city and do plenty of sharp turning/parking.

Sorry i Haven't replied sooner. No I didn't have any rubbing as far as turning, or parking. But do remember that I have the torsion bars cranked all the way up! They did rub on me once when they were pretty new. what happened was I hit a bump a little too fast and the tires sort of jumped up and hit the tops of the fender wells. I think part of this also was that my front shocks were wore out! I have since replaced the shocks with a set of skyjackers and have since hit some bumps and have had no problems! Again sorryfor th late reply!
