GM 4 speed

i was wondering how much horsepower a stock 4 speed can handle and how do i make it handle more

welcome to the boat... but a stock tranny on what.. a blazer, if so it could probably handle about 350 ft lbs for 10k miles until it goes south, if your going to run some serious numbers through it then think about a beefed up 4l65e or at least beefing up the stocker
