chenge oil

A few days ago I noticed that the yellow change oil indicator lights up and stays on for like 10-15 seconds after the battery indicator goes away. I just changed the oil mob1 10-30, but i guess gm had something programmed in to go off every several thousand miles. How do I go about getting that change oil thing removed or does it go away by itself?

Turn the ignition key to 'On' without starting the engine. Pump the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds and turn the key off. That should clear it.

Thanks, just did that, then turned off ignition, then started the truck and the change oil just blinked like 3 times or so.

It blinks to let you know it's reset
