meteorite flames

My '04 is white. I painted the grill white. I've never been a big "flame fan" but I've been thiniking.......

since I started watching American Chopper and American Hotrod I've seen some incredible flame work. Esp the over-lapping flame on flame work.

My idea at this point is to do the colors in blues. something like transitioning from white hot to blue to green. something like the colors you see when an object reenters the earths atmosphere.. The lines would have to be more akin to streaks to portray high velocity.

I'd appreciate any input from the group.

I like old skool flames and tribal flames more myself.. the new "real flame" trend will die soon but old skool flames have been around since customizing first started.

Millerwd, have you ever thought about vinyl flames?

 

i have a graphics shop and have done some awesome flame jobs for customers and know that they hold up real well with normal care.

 

you may check out some of your local graphic shops.

A couple years ago at the local auto show I saw a truck with a white/blue combination flame. The truck was white, but had a light blue sort of outline, so it looked more like a ghost-like flame. Really looked amazing. Ill see if I can find a picture of it and post it.

This was my cousins old truck, he showed it and it was a cover truck for sport truck. I took these pictures myself, back in the day. He sold it a few years back.

The painter was Jimmy G, if you want his info, pm me. He is reasonable and gaurntees his work. You can't see the detail work that well but the paint changes colors, and the flames have effects in them that make them shimmer.

Those are great looking but they are way too dark. The scheme I saw was white and had really light blue flame outlines. It looks very cool. I'm still looking for pictures. Sorry for the delay. Need to start scanning this stuff so I can find it easier hehe.
