Info on a 2spd powerglide

Hey guys I was wandering if anybody could give me info on the Gm 2spd powerglide. Any pics would be helpful(I think i have one and need to identify it) and any info on the kind of demand for this tansmission would be awesome. thanks...

Normally a 2 speed powerglide will say POWERGLIDE on the passenger side of the case, some have it - some dont. here is a pic if it helps....

Value ofcourse is according to its quality, and what you are selling it for (application)...seems no one wants one of these for street use however they are mostly used in drag racing applications. to a dragracer, these tend to be a very valuable part. Just for reference, I paid $700 for one a few years ago. It was outfitted with race parts and a transbrake.

Thanks. I didn't see any real pics of the tranny, all I saw was it packaged in a box... As far as condition is involved, I am not sure- the case is in good shape- no cracks... I got it from my dad to try and sell and I was wanting some background first. I am going to look for the powerglide in a minute or so...

I decent used, complete powerglide trans sells for about $100=$125 in these parts.

I might be selling it to some guy for $200...so SHHHhhhhhhhhhhh actually I am selling 3 engines and two trannies for 200 so i ain't ripping him off. I just want to make sure of the trannies before I sold them- I haven't seen powerglide on it yet, there was a lot of old oil caked on it... Thanks for the info so far guys... especially the price info, I was told that i oculd get a lot more for it- good thing I didn't make an @$$ of myself and try and sell it for that much...

ya ive got 2 power glides i dont think they work but the might i dunno but iam open to offers on,,,,,,ive also got lotz of other motors and chevy parts mainlyfor 87 down sum higher but not many
