F*%d Key price?

Quick question:

Just bought some keys from the local f*%d house and they charged me $39.90 for each key. Is that the right price or should I get the set (2) for that amount?

I thought I saw a $36 price quote for the set somewhere in here a few days ago....

Lemme ask a dumb question here. I assume the point of using the F0$d keys is to give you the added lift without increasing the pressure on your torsion spring. Kinda like adding a lift block to a spring, am I right?

ehh... kinda.... The F**d key and the GM 1500LD Key have different indexing on them. At the same number of turns on the adj bolt on your F**d installed will have higher lift than the same on the GM key. The tongue that the bolt rests in stis further down than the GM, thus needing less threads in the retaining block to maintain a certain lift level.

I just installed mine last night. Got 1.75" above factory and will have it aligned tomorrow... I hope there's enough in the system for them to align it w/o having to let it down some.

I'm at 38.25" Top of Fender front and 39.25" Top of Fender rear with F**d keys and MTR 285/70/17's

This is on an 04 EC Z71 Sierra

How much does this all hurt your ride quality? I'm considering raising mine about 1.5" with the stock keys...

I haven't noticed much difference on mine just going down the road. When I drive up and over speed bumps and such, the reflex coming down is a lot rougher than normal. Other than that, I would say there's not that big of a difference. I also have taller than stock tires so my sidewall is probably absorbing a little bit of the firmness.
