What Shocks? Im lowering

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Im getting the Eibach 2/3 Drop for my '03 Tahoe

also the anti sway kit (whoohoo)

What type of shocks do I need ? I have the 'Load Leveling' shock absorbers now, that the truck came with.

What recommendations on shocks should I use?

Thank You

John

Alllrighty then.

Well so far eibach set up is awsome.

torsion keys/coil springs/anti sway front and rear... :nono:

although i have one complaint.

bumpity bump bump !

there is more of a "springy" feel especially rear seat passengers.

more bounce.

hmm so what to do?

can i correct this with new shocks?

or is this now the nature of the beast due to the different eibach coil springs?

ideas? suggestions?

thank you !

John

Well I finaly got my Beltech Nitro active shocks installed, man do they cut down on the bouncy bouncy that I was having. Thouse stock shocks suck. I got the shocks for 45$ each from TRADERS in Orange County. Major props to the guys there, they totaly hooked me up with a deal on them. Guess they liked my truck.

Install was done by GM Techs so I know it was done right. All in all not a bad deal. It handles better too.

Hey Man I Would Go With TOXIC!

Toxic ?? yeah if you want issues. what a bunch of cheap ass shocks....go with beltech nitro or  bang your head later.

I've used both shocks, they are about the same actually. i used to install the belltechs on every lower i have ever done.

Belltech !

Excellente! :(

yes, well i went with a set of 4 BellTech Shocks. WOW, what a great ride now.

Totally much better than the stock shocks.

The ride is not as bouncy, rear end bump when hitting dips or when flyin' on the highways.

I am satisfied with the ride now ! The suspension work is complete !

Hmmm now what else..... to do to the ride....... !

Thank you to all for the input.

John
