Why not this Vortec 8.1?

This may be old news, but with Ford coming out with a new V10, why not just blow the HP and Torque battle to pieces with this monster of an engine? Heck, make a detuned version of it with 450hp and 500ft/lbs of torque. Chris

Rumour has it that the HP3 has been cancelled by GM. Also, it appears that the 8.1 is not an option on the 2005 trucks and SUVs. Sounds like GM is deserting the BBC.

Hey if they cancel the 8.1 that just means they'll have more time to fix the non-problem knocking of their other engines......right????

Hint: maybe be an option for later 05 model's. We got something for our Blue Oval brother's next door, an engine with more cylinders and high performance towing capbiltity it will even make Henry Ford turn in his grave, so far so good!
