4.3 Liter Valve problems

Is there any physical signs of a sucked or bad valve guide? Well, I just tried the Seafoam top engine cleaner. It made it idle smoother at higher RPM's, but now it will barely run at idle. It smoked like the Seafoam instructions said it would, but now it will not idle stopped and in gear. I will try and blow the rest of the Seafoam out tomorrow. If I pull the valve covers on both heads, will all the rockers move if I sucked a valve? Or is there any visible sign to come to that conclusion? Thanks, James

You could have a compression check AND cylinder leakage check done....But I would run it till it gets to oprating temp and burn out the top engine cleaner 1st.... there may be some residue left behind that could be affecting the O2 sensor(s)

If a valve dropped,it would run like crap all of the time, it may also rattle real bad .....if a valve is burnt,a leakage test would show this............Good Luck
