'03 Z06 Vette to '04 Yukon

Recommended Posts

New to forum and new to Yukon. I traded my '03 Z06 for an '04 Yukon; life changes, (weeks away from being a new dad) has caused this. In any event, I am doing my best to ease the transition and have looked into mods for the Yukon. The question is, what are the best mods for the money. I.E intake, cat backs, programmer?

I actually had an apt. tomorrow to have Flowmaster 40's and a K&N Air intake installed. After reading several posts I cancelled the apt as many of you don’t recommend the Flowmasters. I had Borla Stingers on my Vette and that made a huge difference.

So, if you all could pipe up and give some advice based upon cost and performance that would be great. Keep in mind that I am a nooB to the truck/SUV forums and you may have to talk to my level a bit. Also, please provide links to any after market stuff.

Thanks guys. I look forward to hearing from you all.

Regards,

Scubaboy

Volant air intake, Volant air scoop, Denso plugs, Taylor 10.4MM plug wires, and a custom PCM tune did wonders for my SS.

Same here, sold my 97 Z28 6Spd, then my 2000 CBR600F4 and finally my 67 Malibu.

The new GTO's looks really good. Since the death of the F-Body, there is still an American performance RWD vehicle, besides the Corvette.

I was not sure if the new GTO had came out, I have not seen one on the street yet.

What would be cool. A Chevy variant of the GTO. Chevelle anyone??

The 07 GTO will be a new design built on the new Zeta platform. Rumor is there will be a Chevy twin either the Chevelle or Camero.

The GTO started showing up at dealers at the very end of Dec. and not really in any numbers until mid Jan. I got mine in Feb. Including mine there are 4 in the town of 50k I live in. Outside of those I have never seen one on the road; just at shows. It's a fun car and very easy to spend money on :)
