Lurching

My truck has approx. 110K miles on it. 2000 Sierra Z71. It has recently started to "lurch" at abou 45-55 mph. It then runs fine up to and after that point. The trans fulid looks good and the rear dif is good (just changed). Anyone else had this problem and if so...any recommendations?

Does it do it when placed in drive not OD. I am thinking it is the tranny hunting between locked and unlocked on the torque converter in 4th gear or "OD".

Haven't tried that part of it yet. I will do that. If it still does? I am thinking that since it has 111K on it, maybe it's time to flush the tranny and change the filter.

Try that test first to see if it is the engine or tranny then go from there.
