enough of the in-tank pump

Recommended Posts

I've had it dropping the tank or lifting the bed, I want an in-line pump for my 93 K1500, 350, TBI. I think I've found the pump I need. The guys at Year-One are suggesting a pump that will flow 70 gph at 9psi, but that is factory set at 15psi. Anybody know if the FPR in the stock TBI unit which is normally rated to control pressure in the 14psi range can handle the extra pressure?

I would find the cause of the failure and not switch out. I personally have had no failures and one is 15 years old. It is a brushless motor driven pump that is lubed and cooled by the fuel. About the only way that can kill it is running it low on fuel a lot or lot of water and/or grit in fuel.
